Volunteer · One shift a week

Muddy boots welcome. No experience needed.

Most of us started knowing nothing about rabbits or parrots. You get a buddy, a rota and hands-on training — then the animals teach you the rest.

Pick a role that fits your mornings

Dog walking

7–9am or 5–7pm. Two dogs at a time, fixed route, treat pouch provided. The most popular shift.

Hutch & cattery care

Fresh hay, water, litter and a wipe-down. Quiet work that rabbits and cats notice immediately.

Socialising & events

Sit with shy cats, handle pocket pets, help at Saturday adoption mornings. Ideal first role.

How joining works

  1. 1

Say hello. Send the contact form with your availability and favourite species.

  2. 2

Trial morning. One supervised shift with a buddy — no commitment either way.

  3. 3

Fixed rota. One weekly shift, swap board for holidays, training as you go.

The honest small print

  • · Minimum age 16, or 14 with a parent on shift.
  • · Dog walkers complete two accompanied walks first.
  • · We ask for 3 months of weekly shifts — animals bond with familiar faces.
  • · Everything else (gloves, aprons, training) is on us.
